Bolton Wanderers 1-5 Middlesbrough: Player Ratings - Low blows

Bolton Wanderers were outclassed as Middlesbrough taught them a lesson in football on Friday night. Boro's quality proved too much for the Whites as Will Lankshear, Aiden Morris and Amario Cozier-Duberry scored for the away side, with Theo Bair getting the sole consolation for the hosts.

Steven Schumacher's Bolton Wanderers were ripped limb from limb as Middlesbrough came to the Toughsheet Community Stadium and showed their quality, putting five past the hosts.

Boro started at pace, with Aiden Morris and Will Lankshear getting on the end of two superb moves. Lewis Brunt made it three, putting into his own net as Bolton looked dead and buried.

Theo Bair pulled one back before half-time but it would be the only consolation that Wanderers got.

Schumacher was always going to tell his team to go for it, and so they did but it was old-faithful Amario Cozier-Duberry that ended it with Middlesbrough's fourth. Lankshear added a fifth towards the end to show Bolton what it's like to have serious quality in their team.
