Bolton Wanderers have confirmed the loan signing of forward Ryan Hardie from fellow Championship side, Wrexham, six months after originally attempting to sign the 29-year-old.

The striker reunites with former boss Steven Schumacher, under whom Hardie had the best period of his career. After helping Plymouth Argyle to the Championship, the striker scored 22 goals in England's second division before making the £700,000 move to Wrexham as the Pilgrims were relegated to League One.

As we all know, Wanderers made a big push for Hardie in January of this year, hoping he would be the forward to fire them to promotion.
