Gaizka Larrazabal, or 'Spanish Gaz' announced his arrival for Bolton Wanderers in some style against Norwich City, hitting a sweet volley that at the time made it 2-2 in the game.

Signed to give Luca Stephenson competition at right-back, the 28-year-old has had to spend much of his time with the Whites at right wing whilst the transfer window concluded. Now back in his more natural position, Larrazabal is beginning to adapt, and it was very evident in the win over the Canaries.

“I have to say it's probably the best goal I've scored for a team." Larrazabal said.

“The way I saw the ball bouncing, I felt like, 'OK, that's going to be mine.' Then hearing our fans was amazing.”

A lifelong Bolton Wanderers fan, this club is the reason I began my journalism career. Since sitting in the stands as a kid over 20 years ago, I have gone on to work for the likes of the BBC and The Telegraph before everything led me back to here, to the football club I love.
