As three-fixture runs go, there aren't many harder than the Whites have had to endure. After securing four points against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton, the three-game run comes to an end, facing a Boro side that sit level with West Ham United, just outside the automatic promotion positions.
Like Bolton, Middlesbrough drew their last game coming from two goals down at Cardiff City to secure a point in Wales.
Kim Hellberg's men are on the charge this season, keen to make up for last year's play-off final disappointment. The side have invested heavily, bringing in Will Lankshear to lead the line and former Wanderers favourite, Amario Cozier-Duberry to run the wings. Boro will expect to come to Bolton and win, but as usual, Steven Schumacher and co will look to upset the party.
