Bolton Wanderers have triggered the 12-month extension clause in Ruben Rodrigues's contract, keeping the Portuguese midfielder at the club until 2028.

Ruben Rodrigues is set to miss up to six weeks with damage in his ligaments whilst one midfielder will be available this weekend. Bolton Wanderers also want to bring in one more player before Saturday, but it is unlikely to be their original target.
