Bolton Wanderers finally secured the signature of Ryan Hardie, six months after fans alike thought he would be the man through the door. Now in the Championship, the striker has been reunited with Steven Schumacher, the man who helped him to the best spell of his career.

The Whites had originally wanted to bring Hardie in to help them to promotion last season, but injuries and the availability of Johnny Kenny saw Wanderers pivot. This season, the objective is different, with Bolton looking to stay in the division at all costs. 29-year-old Hardie's joins off the back of a difficult campaign, but with significant experience at scoring goals in the Championship, something the Whites severely lack.
