The season is just under a week a way and there is a lot to be discovered about just how Bolton Wanderers will play. Recruitment is still ongoing but one of the most complete areas is the defence. Four new players in after the departure of two key players, will the Whites line-up differently? Or will they try to repeat the formula that got them to the Championship in the first place?
Incomings: Akin Famewo, Ben Davies, Luca Stephenson and Gaizka Larrazabal.
Departures: George Johnston and Jordi Osei-Tutu.

Matt Bottomley A lifelong Bolton Wanderers fan, this club is the reason I began my journalism career. Since sitting in the stands as a kid over 20 years ago, I have gone on to work for the likes of the BBC and The Telegraph before everything led me back to here, to the football club I love.
