The season is just under a week a way and there is a lot to be discovered about just how Bolton Wanderers will play. Recruitment is still ongoing but one of the most complete areas is the defence. Four new players in after the departure of two key players, will the Whites line-up differently? Or will they try to repeat the formula that got them to the Championship in the first place?

Incomings: Akin Famewo, Ben Davies, Luca Stephenson and Gaizka Larrazabal.

Departures: George Johnston and Jordi Osei-Tutu.
