The season begins at Hillsborough in just under a week and there is no hiding it, Bolton Wanderers are short in a number of areas before they embark on a season in the Championship.
The Whites have brought in six players so far with a focus on a defence first. Whilst this has replaced the likes of George Johnston and Jordi Osei Tutu, it leaves them with no depth in attacking areas. The bigger issue may not be just depth, but the goals and assists of Amario Cozier-Duberry, Johnny Kenny and Mason Burstow are yet to be replaced.
Winger
Wanderers most fruitful position in their promotion winning campaign came out wide. Cozier-Duberry was the star of the show, and whilst hope remains of his return, Bolton need to start acting, even if the Brighton & Hove Albion man is not an option. The winger offered the Whites 20 goal involvements alone, whilst fellow loanee Corey Blackett-Taylor also got in on the act. It is an area Bolton have to strengthen.
