Bolton Wanderers have made another move in the transfer market, returning to Wrexham to fill their shopping cart once more. Central defender, Lewis Brunt, has joined the Whites on a four-year deal, helping to strengthen a defensive unit that has already seen four incomings this window.
The 25-year-old featured for Wrexham 12 times last season, with nine of the appearances coming in the Championship. Brunt gets to remain in England's second division as he joins a Wanderers side looking to do whatever it takes to stay in the league.
Brunt came through the ranks at Aston Villa, getting his first taste of senior football with two spells at Gloucester City, who play in the National League South. From there, the defender would go on to feature four times for Leicester City, who he joined after leaving Villa, including two Premier League cameos, before joining Mansfield Town on-loan for his first EFL experience.
