Why did Chris Forino come off against Bristol City? And can he play on Tuesday night?

Both Chris Forino and Ben Davies hobbled off late against Bristol City, with the changes affecting Bolton Wanderers to the point where they conceded after each player left the pitch, going on to lose. With a quick turnaround before Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night, the pair's issue has been revealed.

Bolton Wanderers collapse against Bristol City creates a number of questions for Steven Schumacher and his team.

Prior to kick-off, the Whites choice had no choice but to make eight changes to his starting XI, including in-between the sticks, with Gavin Bazunu being ruled out with a knock he suffered in the heavy defeat to Middlesbrough over a week ago.

The only positive news? That early-season standout Chris Forino was fit an available. With the absentees, the 26-year-old was straight in from the off, partnering Ben Davies who returned for Eoin Toal, another on the new-length injury list.

Apart from the Robins opening goal, the pair played well, especially in the air, helping to avoid the oppositions crossing attack. When Wanderers took the lead, the pair became even more integral to the game, with Michael Skubala's team fighting for a way back into the game.
