Bolton Wanderers great home record against Cardiff City continued as a late Thierry Gale goal secured all three points for the host's at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

The three points ends a run of four straight defeats in the Championship for Wanderers, taking Steven Schumacher's men to seven Championship points.

The Whites had Gavin Bazunu to thank for staying in the game as Cardiff City controlled much of the game, with Bolton struggling to get a foot hold in the match.

The home side would hold on, giving substitute Gale the one chance he needed to guide Bolton to victory in the early kick-off on Saturday.
