Bolton Wanderers failed to capitalise on their chances, as ten men Stoke City beat the Whites 1-2 at the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Potters played without defender Maksym Talovierov for 70 minutes, but goals from Lamine Cisse and Ben Wilmot were enough for the visitors to take home all three points in the Championship clash.

Steven Schumacher's side failed to make their oppositions disadvantage count, missing chance after chance as Mark Robins Stok flexed their muscles, showing how far quality gets you in the division.

Theo Bair scored a last gasp consolation goal for the hosts, but the match, and any hope of points had long gone by then.
