Bolton Wanderers fell short, losing 2-1 to Stoke City on Saturday as missed chances were once again the story of the day.

The Whites thought they had things in their hands when Maksym Talovierov was sent off for a pull on Kyliane Dong.

Instead of taking the opportunity, Bolton would find themselves behind at the break, Lamine Cisse giving the away side the lead.

Things did not get better for the hosts, Ben Wilmot doubling the Potters advantage from a free-kick.
