Why Bolton Wanderers now have to back Gavin Bazunu as their first choice: Opinion

Bolton Wanderers goalkeeping conundrum now looks a closed book. Gavin Bazunu put on the performance of a lifetime, helping the Whites to their second Championship win of the season.

The shot stopper started his second game for Wanderers, taking over from Jack Bonham. Signed from Southampton at the end of August, there has been a lot said about the 24-year-old, and after his first game, you'd be forgiven for thinking that most of it was true.

However, his second appearance in a Bolton shirt showed just why Saints spent serious money on the goalkeeper, and just what a vote of confidence can do to a player.
