It's finally time - Championship football returns home

From the edge of extinction, to a League Two tour behind closed doors, the 2024 play-off final, the run has been far from easy.

From Football Ventures saving Bolton Wanderers from having to be the next phoenix, to bringing us back to what we should be. A football club that fills it's stadium with people who care and go to the game every week just to talk about football.

We waited long and hard for our time again. We played out our time in the third tier. Paid our dues. We've been to Gillingham, Accrington Stanley, Burton Albion, it's about time we got to go to West Ham United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and more importantly, back to Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End.

What was once lost is no more. The foundations of Bolton Wanderers are strong, and only getting stronger.

We have the chance to make the noise we know we can, cement our place once more.

What Ian Evatt could not, Steven Schumacher did. Amario Cozier-Duberry, Xavier Simons thunderbolt, Sam Dalby's overhead kick, at Wembley no doubt. That's why we're here.

We never wavered. Week in, week out. Every away end full. Everyone knew League One was not somewhere we belonged, and if they didn't, they certainly do now.

Seven years. It's easy for others to forget about us. Righting us off before a ball is kicked, as usual. We're not just a big club, we're one that belongs to be up the football pyramid. In a caption zone that has no right to have a club like us, Boltonian's deliver, time and time again.

People know us for the old days. This is a new day. No one forgets the name, and we'll make sure they never do.

We'll never forget what we've been through, but hell it feels good to be on the way back.

Today is a day earned. Through the long hard road that is football, one we have been through every step of the way.

Be loud, be proud. As if you ever couldn't be.
