Bolton Wanderers have had a successful weekend. Not only did the Whites secure all three points, but the match saw Atsuke Ito make his debut for the club, having featured for the development side over the last week and a half.
The Japanese midfielder entered the pitch midway through the second-half, taking the place of Ruben Rodrigues as Bolton looked for a winner, one that Thierry Gale would eventually pop up with.
The 28-year-old has had to wait for his chance since moving to England from KAA Gent. Having played little, to now football since the end of last season, Steven Schumacher has been keen to ease Ito into life at Wanderers, but gave him his chance at the weekend.
