The Overreaction: Millwall 4-0 Bolton Wanderers - Welcome to the Championship

Bolton Wanderers lost their third straight Championship game, falling to a 4-0 defeat at injury-stricken Millwall. The Whites failed to make any of their pressure count in the early stages, as the home stage showed the quality of this division, tearing apart a Whites side that lost it's composure.

Bolton Wanderers lost 4-0 to Millwall at The Den on a terrible day all round in London.

What good play the Whites had meant nothing as they failed to take their chances, whilst conceding soft goals that would condemn them to defeat.

Steven Schumacher's team had the better of the play to start the game, but let Caleb Taylor prod home after poor defending from a set piece. Wanderers would then have to chase the game and as chances for the away side grew, Millwall would kill off the game as Lyndon Dykes scored from close range.

The day went from bad to worse, as Josh Sheehan saw red, scuffling with Jenson Metcalfe in an altercation that saw both players sent off.
