The Overreaction: Sheffield United 3-2 Bolton Wanderers - We're on a long rollercoaster this season

Bolton Wanderers lose their second game in a row, falling to a 3-2 defeat to Sheffield United. The score line is hardly the story of the match as the Whites led twice and looked the better team through most of the game, but the Blades quality saw them take one more chance than Wanderers.

Bolton Wanderers played out a frantic game at Bramall Lane that saw them fall just short, losing 3-2 to Sheffield United.

Steven Schumacher's side took the lead in 30 seconds, as Xavier Simons looped his shot home. It took the same amount of time for Wanderers to immediately concede, Japhet Tanganga heading home from a poorly defended free-kick.

After the Blades controlled much of the first-half, Bolton came out firing in the second. Sam Dalby heading home a superb Thierry Gale cross. Then deja vu struck, Sheffield United went up the other end for Patrick Bamford to tap home. 2-2.

The Whites would then control almost all of the remaining game, pushing for the winner until the Blades broke in added time, with Romelle Donavan smashing home the winner at the death.
