Bolton Wanderers once again felt the wrath of Championship football break their hearts, as West Ham United scored late to secure their first win in Bolton since 1995.
Jarrod Bowen's late second goal saw Wanderers valiant efforts mean nothing as the Hammers head south with three points, leaving the home side with another case of so close, yet so far.
It was Bowen who opened the scoring for the Irons, before Bolton swiftly hit back through Ethan Erhahon.
The chaos of the first-half continued, Ruben Rodrigues giving Wanderers the lead, dispatching a penalty after Kyle Walker-Peters brought down Kyliane Dong. Konstantinos Mavropanos would do what Erhahon had done to his side moments later, drawing things level as the defender headed home Arne Engels free-kick.
