Bolton Wanderers efforts were once again in vain, as they fell just short at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, losing 3-2 to West Ham United.
The Hammers first win in Bolton since 1995 was not an easy feat, as Ethan Erhahon and Ruben Rodrigues goals cancelled out Jarrod Bowen's opener.
As expected, the Irons hit back, Konstantinos Mavropanos scoring from a free-kick to round out a frantic first-half, before Bowen would beat Gavin Bazunu at his near post in the closing moments to secure three points.
A game many expected Wanderers to lose, but another loss that will cut deep after Bolton's valiant efforts. So close, yet so far.
